I’m a nanny because I could not have children of my own so this was the next BEST thing!

My past childcare experience I was a wonderful nanny from age 30 to 46 and then decided to open a pet sitting was quite successful until the economy tanked and then I decided to revisit being a nanny.I have worked for my present family for two years.I care for two boys ages 6 and 9 and absolutely adore them. My duties are as follows: driving to and from lessons and activities, occasionally picking up from school as they take the bus, helping with homework, and fun outings such as museums, the zoo etc. I also do a small amount of light housekeeping and run errands such as Costco, the cleaners etc. At the present time I am working from 3:30 to 7:30 and am looking to supplement my income with early morning to an early afternoon position.I generally become attached to the children I care for and believe having the same caregiver is beneficial to the children's welfare. Which is why I don't want to leave my present position. I really love the boys and have become a part of their family. Please don't let my age deter you from hiring me I am a very young 57. As my current employer says if I can keep up with her two boisterous boys I can keep up with any children. I also worked for another family before this one for three years. They had a newborn and two years later had another baby. So I am very comfortable with infants. The reason that position ended was the mother decided to return to work and with her schedule that varied, decided to put the children in daycare. At that position I spent most of my time with the children because they needed constant attention at their age. I did not run errands etc. I believe in order to be a successful nanny you need four attributes: patience, love, understanding and a sense of humor which I have in abundance. I drive a 2013 Ford Fusion and have an excellent driving record. I have recently moved to the Wolverine Lake area and obviously still work for my Bloomfield Hills family. So I would be able to accept a job in either area.
