Part-Time Nanny Job: The Brown Family with 1 Child
We are looking for approximately 2–3 days per week, with a consistent schedule where possible. Ideally, care would take place during daytime/weekday hours, with some flexibility depending on the nanny’s availability and the activities or playdates being planned. We are looking for someone who can commit to a regular schedule rather than strictly occasional care.
Part-Time Nanny Job: The Cote Family with 2 Children
Live-In Nanny Position – Support Role (Not Primary Caregiver)
Location: Nova Scotia
Type: Live-In, Part-Time/Full-Time Support
Start Date: Flexible
I am looking for a live-in nanny to support my two young children and help create space for me to recharge and manage day-to-day routines. I am a retired veteran and always home, so I am present and involved — I am not looking for someone to raise my children, but rather someone who can help make our home life run more smoothly.
Primary Duties
Light childcare support while I am home. Watching the kids for short periods so I can:
-Go for a 30-minute walk
-Shower or get ready without interruptions
-Have occasional evenings out (mostly while kids are asleep)
-Cooking simple, healthy dinners
-Basic household help related to the children
What This Role Is
A supportive presence in the home
Someone reliable who can step in for short breaks
Someone who understands boundaries and respects privacy
A helper who makes it easier for me to take care of myself while I continue to take care of my kids
What This Role Is Not
You will not be the primary caregiver
You will not be responsible for disciplining or raising the kids
This is not a full housekeeper or full domestic role
Ideal Candidate
Kind, patient, and good with young children
Trustworthy and comfortable with a collaborative home environment
Understands structure, routine, and respect
Enjoys cooking simple meals
Flexible for short-notice support
Comfortable with a live-in arrangement
Compensation
Typical nanny rates in Nova Scotia range from $18–22/hr depending on duties and experience. Room and board benefits can also be factored into overall compensation. We can discuss a fair, mutually beneficial arrangement.
