Hi! Just moved from Knoxville to New Albany. Would like someone mostly after school and during summer for activities . I work from home and travel occasionally and my husband works 7-6pm. We also have a 100lb fur child who’s a chocolate lab. Older 2 kids will need to be picked up and taken to activities a few times a week so a reliable car is essential. We are a busy family and really need help with after school care into evening as my husband and I are taking on more demanding roles at work.
We are looking for consistent part-time help, M-F roughly 3-7, exact times may vary slightly. Our nanny should be patient and capable of directing our kiddos through the family routine. Driving is a must, because this will include daily pickup of our kindergartner, as well as some transportation to local activities, such as ballet and theatre.
Responsibilities will include: preparing snack, helping with homework (ensuring it gets done), preparing (very) simple meals, simple kitchen cleanup, and most importantly, keeping the kids accountable for their own chores.
We strive for consistent structure and definitely need help getting the kids more aligned with this as well. We’ve been balancing so much, sometimes we aren’t able to spend the time with them that is necessary to keep them accountable within the house.
The kids love art, pretend time, reading, crafting, and are very curious, fun-loving kids.
We also have two kittens that just joined our family a few weeks ago!
We look forward to finding the perfect fit for our family.

Two wonderful/sweet children: 4 year old boy and three year old girl. Lovely, safe neighborhood with convenient access to walking trails, parks, library, etc. Membership to pool in the spring/summer. We like our children to be active adventurers - sitting at home and watching TV is not our model of operating. Art projects, outdoor adventures, strolls to the library - yes! Our son is at school from 8:30-2:00 everyday and needs dropped-off and picked-up. Our daughter goes to school part-time and also needs dropped-off and picked-up. Both schools are approx one-mile from our home. Preferred days/hours: M/T/W/TH/F from 8:00am-6:00pm. Ability to prepare basic snacks and lunch meals, children's laundry once per week, and clean up after children's toys/activities end of day.
