More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent a year in Spain where I was both a tutor and the main caregiver for a young girl. My tasks included picking her up from school, making sure she ate well, helping with her homework, and doing fun educational activities together. My teaching background really helps me support kids in learning while making sure they feel loved and safe. I always try to create a trusting and open environment for the kids I care for and their families.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I find immense joy in engaging children through creative activities such as painting and crafting, fostering their imagination and artistic expression. Fun and educational games are also a favorite, as they contribute to cognitive and social development in an enjoyable way.

Taking leisurely walks in parks, exploring nature, and spending time outdoors are activities I actively enjoy. I believe that connecting with nature not only provides a refreshing break but also allows for valuable learning experiences.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important aspect of being a nanny revolves around creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the children in your care. Building a trusting and positive relationship is crucial. This involves: Safety and Well-Being, emotional support, education, Reliability and Professionalism, Adaptability, Positive Role Modeling. Moreover, it is imperative that the parents not only feel a sense of security but also genuinely value and trust the recommendations and attentive care provided by the individual entrusted with the well-being of their children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my proudest moments as a nanny was when the girl I tutored raised her math grades. We worked together on her homework every week, and seeing her improve was really rewarding. Her smile when she showed me her better report card was priceless!

Michayla G. - Seeking Work in Atlanta

Part-Time Nanny Available in Atlanta, GA: Michayla G.

I currently work as a waitress at The Iberian Pig in Buckhead and live in West Midtown with reliable transportation. I have lots of experience with kids ranging in age from infants to older teenagers. I used to be a nanny for about two years for a family with a 1 year old and a 3 year old when I was in high-school. The 3 year old suffered with pretty severe autism, so I am no stranger to a challenge. I also helped care for my younger sister (8 years my junior) and younger brother (12 years my junior) their whole lives. Also, prior to my job now, I worked as a phlebotomist and a medical assistant at an urgent care for two years, where we treated all ages, so I am used to kids in every condition. I have been CPR/AED/First Aid certified for several years (that being said, I believe my certification recently expired, so I’ll need to renew).
