The most important part about being a nanny...
the most important part of being a nanny is knowing where the happy medium is between being a nanny that the kids see as fun and almost like a friend figure and someone they can be comfortable with but also being a nanny where the kids understand who is in charge and that the nanny needs to be respected
My experience with special needs children...
my experience with special needs children is growing up with a sister that is special needs an learning the skills to be able to connect an communicate with special needs children in ways that work for them. As well being able to have the opportunity I had gotten as being a youth mentor for kids with underlying mental health issues or behavioral issues.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe my favorite nanny moment was being a nanny for a six year old girl that was very intelligent but in her case had a rough start on a child hood that causing her to become quite closed off from people and insecure and the moment I had started find things in common with her which was horses as i own a couple as well doing art and painting it had in seconds made her face light up with genuine happiness and excitement it really made me feel good that I could help her be comfortable and her self and other children possibly find someone they can look up to not just as a nanny but also a friend

Hi there!
I am an EMT who recently stepped down from a full time position in Portland to study full time in preparation for medical school! I grew up in Kelso and now live in Castle Rock! I have lots of experience in child care from my many years volunteering in the nursery and children’s program at my home church!
I also have 6 years experience spending my summers volunteering at a camp for families with kids with special needs and am happy to accommodate/learn/work with any complex needs your child may come with!
As an EMT I have plenty of experiencing providing life saving care to people of all ages and will carry that safety mindset over to caring for your family!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Castle Rock, WA: Ann C.
Hello!
I have 35 years experience and am highly qualified, very flexible, and very responsible. Children are the joy of my life. "Find your passion and you will know your purpose."
I have found that patience and respect for young children avoids many conflicts. Positive reinforcement is key when disciplining. Praising when a child follows instructions and patience and consistency when directing them in the right direction.
"When our little people are overwhelmed by emotion its our job to share our calm not join in the chaos." Keeping the children safe and loved is the most important thing.
I have worked with twins, multiple ages(4) at one time before, newborns to 15 years, preschool teacher, daycare worker, children's birthday party business owner.
Duties include transportation, meal prep, housekeeping, potty training, fun outings, crafts, etc.
I don't smoke and love pets.
I am looking for part time. Would be proud to send resume/references to you!
