Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Being outside, playing games, doing crafts, building forts, baking, and movie days. I try to bring some activity or have a planned craft to do, especially when working with older kiddos, to keep a schedule and give them something to look forward to.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, I think it is important to give kiddos another person who they know is safe and loves them. As a nanny, I will never live up to what mom and dad do, but I do think it is a very special bond I get to make, and there are many skills, both developmentally and emotionally, that a nanny can help kids learn.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience with kiddos with learning disabilities, delayed speech, selective mutism, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, Autism, and Down syndrome. Every child will have different needs, even if they are diagnosed with the same disorder, so I find it very important to get to know them and know what makes them feel safe before entering a full day with them to smooth the transition!

Watching my nanny kiddos grow up and become their own people, and being able to watch them learn and thrive on their own.
