A little bit about me

Hi! I would say that my most notable characteristic is my capacity to care for children-- a desire of mine ever since I was a child myself! Growing up with a best friend who was the eldest of four girls, I spent a lot of time as an "extra big sister," & became a big sister in my own house when my younger brother was born. I helped in the church nursery up until I was able to formally declare myself a babysitter-- I got my first babysitting job at 14, & I've kept up with it ever since! I am determined to provide personalized & holistic care to every child under my supervision, & it is of utmost importance to me that I am mentally/emotionally present during my time with them. For this reason, I adhere to a strict no-phone policy while I am with children. I also value being an informed care provider. I have honed my knowledge in this area through my schooling, babysitting experience, work as a respite care aid, as well as a staff member for a special-needs-accomodating summer camp.
