My love for kids started early. With 11 younger cousins running around, I basically grew up as the “built-in babysitter,” changing diapers, wiping tears, and celebrating every milestone. I also spent two amazing years nannying a sweet baby girl, watching her grow from tiny coos to big, bright giggles an experience that made me fall even more in love with childcare. I’ve also volunteered at a women’s shelter, where I spent time comforting and playing with children staying there with their moms, helping them feel safe, cared for, and loved during tough times.

My favorite nanny moment was watching the little girl I cared for take her very first steps. We had been practicing for weeks. Lots of wobbles, hand-holding, and cheering, and one afternoon, she just let go and made her way across the room with the biggest smile on her face. I’ll never forget the joy in her eyes (and mine!) as we clapped and laughed together. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do.
