Hi! I’m Annabelle, a 22 year old graduate student with several years experience in child care. I’m finishing out my final year studying early childhood, middle childhood, and special education at Sarah Lawrence College. I will be graduating in May of 2025 with a Masters of Science in Education. I’ve worked with children in many different capacities. I have been babysitting for nine years. I have two years experience as a summer camp counselor. For the previous academic year, I was an assistant teacher for a pre-kindergarten classroom in the Early Childhood Center at Sarah Lawrence College. Along with this, I have tutored with the program America Reads and interned for a non-profit youth organization, working with children ages 9-19 years old. In addition to my studies, I have a passion for theatre, literature, and visual arts. I am an enthusiastic, entertaining, and empathetic person with so much to offer as a caregiver.

I really love reading and performing to children. Oftentimes, I am able to create a personalized story for children catered to their interests and experiences. I have written and illustrated a storybook for my classroom before, and it was an incredible experience. With my background in acting, I offer a lot of excitement and enrichment. Along with this, I have a lot of experience in children's artwork and have really developed a passion for uplifting children's artistic voices. I am also a really active person who enjoys outdoor activities including hikes, walks, and picnics.

My experience with special needs children...

My mother is a special education teacher, so I have been exposed for as long as I can remember to children with needs different than my own. Her expertise in this area encouraged me to explore this further in my career. I am currently in training to become certified as a special education teacher, and have 2+ years experience working in this realm as a substitute teacher and camp counselor.
