Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I really love reading and performing to children. Oftentimes, I am able to create a personalized story for children catered to their interests and experiences. I have written and illustrated a storybook for my classroom before, and it was an incredible experience. With my background in acting, I offer a lot of excitement and enrichment. Along with this, I have a lot of experience in children's artwork and have really developed a passion for uplifting children's artistic voices. I am also a really active person who enjoys outdoor activities including hikes, walks, and picnics.
My experience with special needs children...
My mother is a special education teacher, so I have been exposed for as long as I can remember to children with needs different than my own. Her expertise in this area encouraged me to explore this further in my career. I am currently in training to become certified as a special education teacher, and have 2+ years experience working in this realm as a substitute teacher and camp counselor.
