I ran a daycare center for the Army at Schoffield Barracks Hawaii and Fort Eustis Virginia. I posses a child development associate degree as well as a bachelor in business management. I have had training in cpr and first aid, nutrition, usda, and how to recognize abuse.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
In my program, the children had arts and crafts time based on a monthly theme and a weekly theme. They also enjoyed outside time, music time, story time, free play, letter and sound recognition, nap time, and family style dining where the children are encouraged to help with the serving of food on the table.

I believe that children are a gift from the good Lord. He has entrusted us to teach and develop them to be honorable individuals who will help this world. Every child can learn, some in different ways. I try to find out a way to reach them individually.
My experience with special needs children...
I have two daughters who have Tourette syndrome and adhd. I have also worked with Autistic children, and children with Down Syndrome. My children are of course grown now and we are empty nesters.
The most important part about being a nanny...
There have been so many moments that I treasure from the children that I have taught. One in particular stands out. There was a toddler who took his first steps with me. His name was Braiden and he still communicates with me.
