More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a mother and have hands-on experience caring for children through both my family life and my work serving children at my church. My experience has helped me become patient, attentive, responsible, and comfortable keeping children engaged while also maintaining routines and expectations.

I understand that every child is different, and I try to learn their personality, interests, routines, and individual needs so I can provide care that feels comfortable and consistent for them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing crafts, coloring, reading, playing games, outdoor play, walks, imaginative play, age-appropriate learning activities, baking or simple cooking activities, and anything that lets children be creative and have fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is trust. Parents are trusting you with the most important person in their world, and I believe that responsibility should always be taken seriously.
A great nanny should make a child feel safe, loved, respected, and encouraged while also giving parents peace of mind. I want families to know that when their children are with me, they are being genuinely cared for not simply watched.

My experience with special needs children...

I do not have formal specialized training in special-needs childcare, but I am a patient, compassionate, and attentive caregiver. I understand that every child has different needs, communication styles, routines, and comfort levels. I am willing to learn what works best for each child and follow the guidance and routines provided by their parents.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments are the little ones—when a child feels comfortable enough to open up, wants to show me something they made, asks me to play with them, or gives me that big smile because they’re having a good day. I love being someone a child feels safe, happy, and comfortable around. Those moments are what make caring for children so rewarding to me.

Being creative, compassionate, empathetic, understanding, health-centered, active are qualities that embody my disposition. I adore building forts and creating stories, reading books, teaching anything and everything- from understanding why they are angry or sad and how it makes others feel, to why and how the leaves gturn green and then red, and why we need to eat our veggies (it makes our bones strong so we can grow tall and smart). I can about the well-being of each soul I come across and work with, both in the long and short run. Cooking and playing outside are also joys of mine.
Robin E. - Seeking Work in Huntersville

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Huntersville, NC: Robin E.

I have always gravitated towards employment offering work with children, as this brings me great joy ! The families I have worked for have become my friends, and I am fortunate to have many happy memories with them. I would like to continue my work as a Nanny/household manager and hope to find a family that feels I am the right fit for them and their children. I have a sweet, patient personality and love to bring laughter into each day. In 2002 I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with Queen's University of Charlotte, and have a sound understanding of child development. I couldn't imagine ever raising my voice with a child, and if behavior in a child is a little off I have found positive reinforcement & encouragement to be effective in turning a down mood into a happy mood. I value education, and enjoy assisting children with homework assignments and school projects. If your home needs managing and a clean maintenance routine I am quite accustomed to this, and enjoy organizing / cleaning homes. In the past, I have assisted a single father with grocery shopping and entire management of his household, and pride myself at being proficient in these areas. I hope to find the right family , and can committ 3 + years to a Nanny position.
