I am a second grade teacher! I’ve been teaching second grade for two years.
I’m also a tutor! I currently tutor for two families (preschool and first grade).
I’m a member of AmeriCorps, and have served working at summer camps in Rhode Island.
I worked at Sidwell Friends school as a summer teacher for 4-5 year olds (summer 2018 and 2019.)
I also traveled to Belize in 2018 to teach preschool!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

So much explorative play! A screen free summer with hikes, nature walks, and crafts.
I also enjoy biking and swimming.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Consistency!
Kiddos need consistency in their lives, especially when relying on a caretaker who is not their mother or father. Consistency to me ranges from the language and discipline style to the boundaries and rules set to ensure safe expectations for the kiddos.

My experience with special needs children...

I nannied for a boy with special needs full time, beginning November of 2015 and ending June of 2019. I was a part time nanny for them, while also staying overnight for a few weeks during parental travel.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love taking my kiddos to their sports and dance practices. I remember the joy I felt when I went to dance and saw my mom watching me practice. I hope my presence does the same for them! It’s also so fun to mingle with the families and other nannies who are also bringing their kiddos to practice.
