More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In addition to my professional nanny experience, I have also spent a lot of time caring for children for family and friends, which has given me even more hands-on childcare experience in different settings. This has included helping with daily routines, playtime, meals, supervision, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for children to feel comfortable and supported. Through this, I have cared for children with different personalities, ages, and needs, including another autistic toddler. These experiences have strengthened my patience, flexibility, and ability to adapt to each child’s individual routine, developmental stage, and emotional needs while providing loving, dependable care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy planning fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities that help children learn, grow, and have fun. Some of the activities I enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading books, outdoor play, sensory play, educational games, puzzles, singing, dancing, and imaginative play. I also enjoy taking children on walks, to the park, and creating activities that support their development, creativity, and confidence. I love being hands-on and interactive, whether that means helping with homework, doing story time, or setting up simple activities that keep children happy, engaged, and learning throughout the day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel secure, supported, and genuinely cared for. Being a nanny is more than just supervising children—it’s about building a strong bond, understanding each child’s unique personality and needs, and helping them grow emotionally, socially, and developmentally. I think it’s important for children to feel comfortable, heard, and encouraged while also having structure, patience, and consistency in their daily routine. For me, being a nanny means showing up with love, attentiveness, and reliability every day so both the children and their parents feel confident in the care I provide.
My experience with special needs children...
I have personal and hands-on experience caring for autistic children, including my own daughter as well as an amazing 4-year-old boy I cared for. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, consistency, understanding, and paying close attention to each child’s unique needs, communication style, and routines. I understand how important it is to create a calm, supportive, and structured environment where a child feels safe, comfortable, and encouraged to grow. Through this experience, I have learned how to be flexible, nurturing, and intentional in the way I support children’s development, emotional well-being, and daily routines.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite parts of being a nanny is the special bonding moments I get to share with the children in my care. I love doing hands-on activities with them, whether it’s arts and crafts, sensory play, baking, reading, or fun learning activities, and seeing their excitement and personalities shine through. My favorite moments are when we are fully engaged, laughing, learning, and simply enjoying each other’s company. Those moments of connection are so meaningful to me because they help build trust, create happy memories, and make children feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Being able to support their growth while also sharing joy and genuine connection is one of the things I love most about being a nanny.

Hi! My name is Sophia Jarosz, and I’m 25 years old from San Diego, California. I’m also a triplet! Growing up with my severely autistic sister gave me a strong sense of patience and a naturally nurturing personality from an early age. Helping care for and support her the last 25 years.
I played Division I volleyball in college, so I love staying active and bringing energy into everything I do. I also coach 9-18 year olds in high school and club volleyball! I enjoy spending time outdoors, doing arts and crafts, and creating fun, engaging activities that keep kids entertained without relying on screens.

My name is Sophie, I'm a 21-year-old Creative Writing student living in NYC (my favorite city!) for a summer publishing internship. I'm the 3rd oldest child of 8 siblings who I have helped care for and look after for almost my whole life. My dream is to be a children's book editor here in NYC. My family has moved 15+ times growing up (all around the US, from California to Georgia to Illinois and more!) and I think I have earned a lot of life experience for someone my age. I love cooking and baking, writing, sewing, and making silly voices when I read out loud.
I am available any day or time of the week except for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-5 p.m. (my internship is remote and self-paced work on other days that I can do any time of the day).

Hi! I'm Emma! I am a recent graduate from Oberlin College, originally from New Jersey. I have three years of experience in child care with ages ranging from preschool to middle school. I have tutored, babysat, and counseled in the past, and I utilize a largely tech-free approach to childcare, focusing on creative and educational activities that bring your child outside and foster positive socialization skills. I have held a Red Cross first aid and CPR training certificate in the past, and I am currently in the process of renewing it!
I'm so excited to meet you and your children!

I work full-time in advertising at a publishing company and have a flexible schedule that allows me to accommodate families’ needs. For the past five years, I’ve volunteered on weekends with a recreational program for individuals with special needs, and I have more than 10 years of experience babysitting and volunteering with children of all ages. I’m responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with kids - whether that’s helping with homework, playing games, doing crafts, or keeping them engaged and active. I’d love the opportunity to provide a safe, fun, and caring environment for your children and become a trusted resource for your family.
