More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked as a nanny for toddler twins (2.5 years old) and an 8-month-old infant, and I’ve taught preschool for 3–4-year-olds in a classroom setting. For nine years, I coached youth soccer for 5–6-year-olds, helping young kids build confidence, coordination, and teamwork. I also founded a nonprofit for children and families, organizing free, enriching activities throughout the community. My certifications include Ages and Stages developmental screening and Circle of Security, a relationship-based parenting and caregiving model.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing art projects, going on nature walks and scavenger hunts, singing and dancing, learning and teaching new languages, swimming, and exploring sensory play. Whether we’re making slime, building fairy houses, or putting on a silly talent show, I aim to create moments that are fun, enriching, and full of connection.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is offering genuine support to the whole family—providing relief for the primary caregiver and being a steady, loving presence for the child. Children deserve undivided attention, patience, and joy, and parents deserve peace of mind knowing their child is safe, nurtured, and truly seen. I believe in showing up with heart, humor, and consistency, so everyone in the household feels supported and cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don’t have formal experience working specifically with children with special needs, I was a nanny for twin toddlers, one of whom was later diagnosed with autism. I began to notice differences in behavior and communication early on and adapted my approach with patience and care. I’ve also taught both of my own children sign language before they could speak, which deepened my interest in alternative forms of communication. I’m still learning, but I care deeply and would be honored to support a child who needs extra patience, creativity, or understanding. I’m especially open to working with children on the spectrum or those who benefit from sign language support.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories was with a little boy named Patty who was terrified of caterpillars—but he called them “Patty killers,” which had me laughing for weeks. I treasure those silly toddler mix-ups! I also love imaginative play, like the time a little girl and I switched roles and she played “the mom” at the grocery store. I pestered her for candy and gumballs like a true toddler, and the people around us were in stitches. Another favorite moment was during a nature walk when we came across a mysterious stack of rocks. The kids came up with wild stories—fairies, trolls, ant towers—and we decided to leave our own mysteries behind for the next adventurers. It became a tradition. I live for those moments when kids are totally immersed in joy, wonder, and giggles.
