Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Family friend of mine has 2 daughters the same age as my youngest sister, and she has asked me multiple times to watch them for the day or even overnight. When she lays the rules to them she makes sure I hear it the whole time as well, so if they ever wish to go against what they’ve been told, I can take record of misbehavior. They get to bed and I stay out of their way, notifying the parents that they have just gone off to sleep. Feeding them is easy because I enjoy cooking so I try to give them a chance to still be involved in their own process from start to finish, but I take care of things that adults should be handling unless specified otherwise.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love arts and crafts, drama scenes, quizzes or puzzles, board games, video games are cool too.
Outdoor activities: A nice walk, bike riding, tossing a ball, playing a sport, exercising, and walking a dog.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The well-being of each child most importantly, creating an environment that invites the imaginative character of their youth, and having fun.

My experience with special needs children...

My older cousin has a young daughter with cerebral palsy, and interacting with her is never an issue. We talk back & forth, she might drag me around to play, I still get on her if she does something wrong/bad, etc. Wiping behind her both at the table and in the bathroom is a must. Overall she’s a smart girl, so as she grows I get a chance to see her shine.
