I have been babysitting ever since I was 15. I also have two younger siblings which I cared for while my parents were gone at work. My most recent experience was with the family I nannied for. Ages ranged from 3-12. I would do school pick-ups, light housework, laundry, help with homework and cook meals.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I feel like every child is different and I can adapt to what they prefer doing. Some families I have babysat for have had very active kids where we are constantly outside or playing as screen-time was restricted and others where they preferred them to relax after school.
My experience with special needs children...
When I stared nannying the youngest (2) had just got diagnosed with autism. I stayed with that family for 5 years and will still go over and visit when I am back home.
In highschool I also volunteered with Suncoast Hospice where I had a special assignment with one of our pediatric patients.
