My experience with special needs children...
I had the privilege of caring for a little girl with down syndrome. She was an absolute delight-always full of laughter and affection. We bounded over her love of music and singing together .Incorporating tools like picture schedules also helped provide her structure and stability . Those days taught me so much about patience, empathy and celebrating small victories.
The most important part about being a nanny...
During an arts and crafts session I encouraged the kids to make homemade cards for their parents . What started as a simple project turned into an afternoon of pure creativity and imagination. They used stamps ,stickers ,glue ,glitter- you name it. Seeing their concentrated faces as they carefully crafted each card with so much thought and love was incredibly heartwarming .The pride they has presenting handmade master pieces is a moment I will never forget.
