More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a summer camp counselor in my hometown through the school I used to attend. More recently, I work in the summer at a summer arts program for children at my local art museum. Both experiences were incredibly fun and pushed me to always be finding new and creative ways to engage large numbers of kids! Its always a challenge but so rewarding when done right!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am a big advocate for being outside as much as possible. Either going to the park, beach, pool or simply taking indoor activities to the front porch. As an art student, arts and crafts are my specialty and I never get tired of painting the same tree a thousand different times. I think my favorite things wold be painting and playing in the water, but I always appreciate a more relaxing walk through the park or reading their favorite book! Whatever gets them off their phones/TVs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is being a person that creates a safe, welcoming, and encouraging environment for the child. I always hope to be a friend in their eyes as someone they can feel comfortable being goofy or serious or sad or whatever they need to feel and I always strive to help them express how they feel. I think it is important to nurture their creativity and curiosity, always as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had a lot of experience with special needs children other than caring for a close family friend's son.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I'm not sure if I have a specific moment or memory but I loved being able to pick up the kids I worked with from school and hearing how excited they were to talk about their days ad all they had learned. It felt amazing to be the persona they were excited to share their big or small news with, and then being able to celebrate their achievements with ice cream of movie nights!

Hi! My name is Niyah, and I’m a 22-year-old college student with a fun, outgoing, and energetic personality. I genuinely love being around kids, and they always seem to connect with me really easily. I have babysitting experience, mostly with younger children, and I’m very comfortable caring for kids because I’m also around my niece, nephew, and babies in my family often.
I enjoy keeping kids active, engaged, and on a good routine, whether that’s through arts and crafts, playing outside, reading kid-friendly books, or helping keep things organized and on track throughout the day. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive, and I always aim to create a safe, positive, and fun environment for the children I care for.
I also have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and I’m always open to learning new skills, including CPR certification. I’d love the opportunity to support a family and be someone both parents and children can feel comfortable trusting!!

Part-Time Nanny Available in Knoxville, TN: Gabriela S.
I've wanted to start a summer job and I thought what better job than caring for kids! I love kids and will love to work with them and their parents to care for them in the best way possible. Although I don't have experience (if you count caring for my nephews then I do have a bit of experience), I'm a quick learner and will try my best to do anything you put me up to, with some exceptions. This is the first job I'm applying to so I hope to learn many things and gain experience! I know Spanish so if you're interested in getting your child to learn the language I'll teach them as much as I can. I'm good at putting babies to bed, I know how to change diapers and bathe babies. I can play with toddlers and keep them entertained. I can also work with older kids and help them find hobbies if they don't have any and if they're soon-to-be teens I can help them find ways to transition into their teenage years easier. I'll answer any other questions you may have about me if you do.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Knoxville, TN: Denise G.
My very first job was when I was just 13 years old, helping to take care of adorable newborn twin boys! Later on, I went to school to become a certified medical assistant. But after my children were born, I discovered my passion for working with kids. I’ve had a variety of experiences, including working with children in special education and those with special needs, as a nanny, and even as a homeschool teacher until the pandemic hit. I love spending time outdoors, getting creative with arts and crafts, and planning fun outings!
