More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My childcare experience began as a Mommy Helper, where I cared for two children, ages 3 and 8, for 19 months. My responsibilities included helping them get ready for school, school pick-ups, preparing after-school snacks, assisting with homework, and creating fun activities. During the pandemic, I also helped homeschool them and supported their daily learning routines.

After that, I worked as a nanny for an infant boy from the time he was 4 months old until he was 11 months old. This experience gave me hands-on infant care experience, including feeding, diaper changes, nap schedules, developmental play, and maintaining a consistent routine.

Currently, I work in a Kids Club/daycare setting at a gym, where I have cared for children ranging from 8 weeks old to 13 years old for the past 8 months. I also babysit a 2-year-old once a week, which has given me additional experience supporting toddler development and routines.

I love keeping children engaged through creative and interactive activities. Some of my favorites include reading books together, coloring, arts and crafts, imaginative play, singing, dancing, and outdoor play when the weather allows it. I enjoy following a child's interests and encouraging their creativity while also creating opportunities for learning and development through play.

The most important part of being a nanny is building trust with both children and parents. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and supported. My goal is always to create a nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and have fun while parents feel confident knowing their child is being cared for with patience, attentiveness, and genuine care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments happened recently while helping a toddler I babysit work on potty training. After lots of encouragement and consistency, he successfully used the potty three times in one day without any accidents. Seeing how proud he was of himself was incredibly rewarding, and I was so proud of him too. Moments like these remind me how special it is to support children as they reach new milestones and gain confidence.
