More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Volunteered at the Sheldon community center daycare from 2014 to 2018

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Structured arts and crafts that are catered to each child’s cognitive level. adventuring outdoors with a wide imagination, today were pirates tomorrow we are fairies flying through the garden. I enjoy cooking and baking, letting them experience and assist making lunch or making chocolate chip cookies for when mom and dad come home. on a lazy rainy day watching movies.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe that the most important thing when being a nanny is not only being a caregiver to them but having them feel safe and having them trust you and overall love you. because you are caring for them day-to-day so I feel as if there should be an equal amount of all of that between child and nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for and supported three children on the autism spectrum. We worked on day-to-day IEP goals which included behavior social skills ADL Independence and communication. provided and supported for needed strict daily routine from the a.m. morning wake up routine to bedtime routine. Medication administration and documentation. Academic tutoring. Meal and menu planning meal preparation and monitoring nutrition and fluid intake.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I can’t really remember an exact moment because there is so many, but my favorite thing about working with children is watching them experience life. Seeing how they interact with the toys they’re playing with, watching their mines run wild with imagination seeing how frustrated they can get just by the littlest thing & figuring out how to overcome the situation. Just overall watching them learn.

Hello!
As the oldest girl out of over 40 grandchildren, I became the built-in-babysitter! Since the age of about 10, I started to assist with taking care of the younger kids. By the age of 13 I was babysitting up to 2 kids by myself for extended periods of time. I have ample experience with infants, toddlers and older children.
My husband and I moved to Oregon just before the pandemic and enjoy all the walking paths and parks with our dog.
I would love to set up a home interview and see if we would be a good fit!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Heather C. - Seeking Work in Eugene

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Eugene, OR: Heather C.

Hi there,
Currently due to the times I am a young college student who is out of school and out of work, looking to find ways to help in the community. Thankfully my family has been full of children of all ages. I had the advantage of babysitting and planning adventures from infants to 11 years, leading up to now. Food, children, adventure have always been my passion. I can bring compassion, communication, respect, and fun when I help care for your babes. Thank you for the consideration.
