A little bit about me

Hello!
I am a 28 year old mother. I would love to bring my four year old son with me, if at all possible. I am moving from Montana to Las Vegas in late July to Early August. I love working with children from all walks of life, and all ages. I love creating and doing fun projects with the little ones, and am able to adapt and keep family values and practices a priority in our daily playtimes. I am very outgoing, friendly, and organized. Safety is my utmost importance, along with teaching the children the “why’s” behind why we are practicing safe habits. I am fully vaccinated, however, my son is not, as he is not able to.

I have worked in a few daycare settings where I have gained a lot of experience when working with multiple children at a time. The most experience I have gained, is from being a single mother myself. My four year old is very active, very kind, and incredibly outgoing.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Assistant Teacher at ASUM Childcare at the University of Montana.
I worked in the toddler rooms (18 months-4 years old) for two years as I attended school for K-8 education. During Summer and Winter breaks, I worked with the school aged children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking the kiddos outside as much as we safely can. In Montana, we have certain times of the year where that becomes impossible, as I understand the same would be in Las Vegas. I love taking the children out on scavenger hunts where we try to find different things (different butterflies, clouds, rocks, etc…) while I teach them a few facts about each. I also love taking the children out on picnics, to the park, and the pool. Life jackets, sunscreen, and matching tags are always a must.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked a few years with a child (4 years old) that has autism. He has a very high functioning degree of autism, and while certain situations could easily become challenging, we created a bond that allowed us to connect uniquely and build a trust that helped us talk through situations.
I also worked a few years with a child (3 years old) with Cerebral Palsy. We were able to adapt different activities to his wants and needs that allowed him to do everything he wanted to.
