A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Janna. I recently graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in Exercise & Sports Science and hope to attend PA school in the future. I have experience caring for children ranging from 8 weeks to 14 years old and absolutely love working with kids.

I'm a big believer that childhood should include plenty of time outside, getting creative, and having fun. Whether that's crafts, games, baking, homework help, trips to the park, or spontaneous dance parties in the kitchen, I love helping kids stay engaged and enjoy being kids.

I'm also happy to help with meal preparation, household organization, errands, transportation, tutoring, and other family support needs. My goal is to be someone both parents and children can count on while making everyday life run a little more smoothly.

"Janna has been absolutely a dream! I wasn't sure what to expect when hiring a nanny. Janna blew any expectation I had away! She is kind, patient and my girls have so much fun with her. She makes getting them ready for school special by making fun breakfasts, doing their hair so cute and taking them on special treat days before school. My girls are so sad that she is moving but we support her on her journey and hope the best for her. Janna also worked in our home as kind of a home manager. She helped keep our home clean and organized after she took the kids to school. She is amazing at her job. She pays attention to detail and is very organized! Janna goes above and beyond. She is leaving big shoes to fill! Any family will be beyond lucky to have her as their nanny and part of the family!"

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Some of my most meaningful experience comes from working as both a nanny and house manager, where I helped with everything from school drop-offs and meal preparation to household organization and daily routines.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love activities that keep kids active, creative, and having fun. I grew up playing softball and still love sports, so I'm always up for a game in the backyard, teaching new skills, or finding fun ways to get kids moving. I also enjoy making fun snacks, tackling brain teasers and puzzles, doing crafts, helping with homework, exploring outside, and coming up with creative screen-free activities that keep kids engaged and learning without even realizing it.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part of being a nanny is building a genuine connection with the children and becoming someone they trust. Kids remember how you make them feel. While safety and responsibility always come first, I think the most meaningful part of the job is creating a positive environment where children feel supported, encouraged, and free to be themselves. The little things often end up meaning the most, and those everyday moments are what make being a nanny so rewarding.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny memories was helping the girls get ready for school each morning. They loved looking through Pinterest to find fun hairstyles, and together we would recreate them before school. It became a special part of our routine and was a fun way to start the day. Thanks to years of playing softball, where I was known as the team's unofficial braider, I had plenty of practice doing everyone's hair. Seeing how excited and confident they felt walking out the door with their new hairstyle always made my day.

Jay D. - Seeking Work in Lake Oswego

Babysitter Available in Lake Oswego, OR: Jay D.

Hello! I'm a mother of 3 elder children (my youngest will be graduating from highschool next year). I've been a nanny on and off while also being a full-time stay-at-home mom, and have also nannied professionally prior to having my own kids. I'm a non-smoker, non-drinker and have a clean driving record and get background tests from the LOSD yearly in order to be a parent volunteer. My specialty is helping parents with their infants and newborns, but I also find joy in caring for pre-school and older aged children. I utilize a mix of waldorf and Montessori -led playtime experiences but most importantly, I prioritize what my nanny families prefer for their children. I'm located near Westlake and prioritize families who are closer to me, so it is easier for me to make any quick visits should I ever be needed last minute. I look forward to hearing from you, and can't wait to meet your little one/s!
Cindy O. - Seeking Work in Lake Oswego

Babysitter Available in Lake Oswego, OR: Cindy O.

Hi, my name is Cindy! I have worked in the childcare industry for over 15 years with newborns through to elementary and teens as a nanny and I have worked for two private schools locally in kindergarten. I have a background in Elementary Education. I love imaginative play, sensory discovery, and reading to kids and sparking their imaginations. I get on the floor and play, read, and sing at developmental level. I do not use technology or TV unless you have that reserved as a reward. Personally. I am a mom to 3 near adult boys which gives me the extra experience of knowing whether a child needs some extra love and hugs or some space. I help with basic baby sign language before babies are even verbal. The children I take care of feel safe, loved, and I give them 100% of my attention.

I value good communication, loyalty and partnerships with the families I work with. I am CPR/AED certified, non smoker, vaccinated, animal friendly and have excellent references. Let's talk!
