For the past 6 years, I’ve been volunteering at my church’s Children’s Ministry where I get to interact with children and teach them about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I’ve volunteered as a children’s camp counselor, teacher, and babysitter. I’ve also grown up in a large family where taking care of children was needed everywhere we went!

During my ongoing two years of experience as a Child Watch Attendant at the YMCA, we socialize and interact with the children using many different activities. In our play area, we provide many safe toys to play with, bubbles, coloring pages, play-do and more! I personally love to play with children as I find their imagination to be so inspiring and fun! Overall, I mainly enjoy and encourage doing hands-on activities and small brain games that expand their thinking skills.

My main goal is to teach your child as well as keep them safe. I understand there is a literacy problem in the USA so I’m really focused on teaching phonics and basic math skills. I don’t believe that kids should be sitting in front of a screen all day, it hurts their brain development more than people realize. When I watch kids I only allow 1 hour of supervised screen time.
I also encourage kids to eat healthy, I’m a no bs sitter. I have explained to the pickiest of kids why they have to eat the meal that has been prepared for them and I guess when you break down the nutritional facts and explain how each component helps them grow, they stop fighting about meal times.
