To start when I was 10 I watched and took care of my 10 month old baby sister while my biological mom battled addiction. I changed her, fed her, hung out with her, and always made sure she was safe. As I got older, on my dad’s side of the family around Covid I watched my three younger brothers (ages 4,11 and 12) for two years. Walking up at 7 making them breakfast lunch sometimes dinner and we played board games, I did preschool learning with the youngest including abcs counting and later in reading and multiplying until around 4.
