A little bit about me

Hi,
My name is Lane Tuttle, I am a recent college graduate. I just moved to Boston and am looking for a full time nanny position.

I have been babysitting/ nannying consistently since I was a freshman in high school. I have also held two nanny positions over the last two summers. I am from a family of eight so I am very comfortable around children. I am very friendly, and love to be someone the children and parents can always rely on. I have a lot of experience as I also do a lot of household jobs for the people I babysit including running errands, grocery shopping, cleanup and meals for the children. I also have regularly babysit multiple kids from infancy to pre-teen. I enjoy building relationships with the families and being able to be there as another resource for the parents. I enjoy being very active and love planning fun activities for the kids I care for!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I spent a week doing service at a local school. I helped teach and play with first graders. I also volunteered at St. Francis Children's Centre for four years. I participated in the Service Club of Milwaukee. I also nannied and babysat for 6 families consistently over the past 7 years and whenever they needed an extra hand.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love being active and finding fun things to do with the children I look after throughout the day. I love walking, baking, biking, painting and playing dress up. I love reading and enjoy sharing that with the children I care for. I also like to take the kids to museums and parks and really value time outdoors!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting to know the kids I am spending time with. I enjoy encouraging them to be creative and learn new things. I enjoy being a resource for the parents and providing a safe fun environment for the children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with special needs children through service in high school as well as through St. Francis Children's Centre. I found it challenging at first but also very rewarding to learn how to encourage children with special needs and them feel more comfortable with new people.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was with the family I babysat for years. It was winter and the kids were restless so we bundled up and went outside. A neighbors and his kid who was a friend of the family I was looking after was playing outside . We ended up tying a rope to a sled and took turns running around pulling the kids through the snow. The kids had a blast and it was fun to see how happy a simple activity made them.
