I have cared for young children daily as a Pre-K/TK teacher in Orange County, CA. My days include greeting children, meals and snacks, outdoor play, learning activities, rest time, behavior support, and parent communication. I’m experienced with preschool and kindergarten ages and comfortable following a family’s home routine.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love outdoor play, parks, nature walks, blocks and building, art and simple crafts, books and storytelling, music and movement, pretend play, and cooking or baking when parents allow. On quieter or rainy days I do puzzles, indoor obstacle courses, and “school” games that still feel like play. I keep activities age-appropriate and low-pressure.

The most important part is being a safe, consistent, trusted adult. Children need warmth and clear expectations. I focus on making them feel secure, helping them grow socially and emotionally, and communicating openly with parents so home and care stay aligned.
My experience with special needs children...
I am not a special-education specialist, but in classroom settings I have supported children with a range of learning styles, big feelings, and extra needs for structure and patience. I follow parent and specialist guidance, keep routines consistent, and use calm redirection and social-emotional strategies. I’m happy to discuss a specific child’s needs so we can see if I’m the right fit.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is when a child who was struggling with a transition or a new skill suddenly lights up with using new words, solving a problem with a friend, or saying “I did it!” after we practiced together. Those small wins, and the trust that builds over time, are why I love this work.
