I love getting outside the house! Some of my favorite things to do are going for nature walks to learn about the plants and animals around the neighborhood, going to a nearby playground to get some energy out, or visiting a local attraction like the zoo. Back at home, I love engaging with kids through play as well as facilitating independent play.

In my experience, the most important thing about being a nanny is respect. Showing a child respect for their needs and boundaries not only makes them feel more comfortable and respect you, but it teaches them to show respect to others. Once, on a hot day, my kids (3yrs and 5yrs) and I decided to play outside. Since it was so hot out, we got out the hose and ran around in the water. It was a really fun moment because it reminded me how much fun I used to have playing outside as a kid!
