My name is Maria. This vocation started when my brother was born. He is 10 years younger than me and I practically raised him because my parents worked all day so I took care of him when he was just a baby. Once I graduated from university in 2018, I got my first job at Francisco Jose de Caldas school where I was a teacher in 1st to 5th grades.
Then I applied as an Au Pair in 2021 taking care of a child of 4 months old and also I worked at camp with nonprofits for kids without money support in Michigan when I had the most beautiful experience with children between 7 to 17 years old where we had fun together in activities like fishing, kayaking, archery, tubing, and more. Usually, when a child is challenging me, I would apply special strategies to redirect the tantrum into healthy activities. I love being a nanny because I have learnt a lot from interacting with them and teaching them how to develop strong mental, social and physical skills and abilities.
