A little bit about me

I come from a very large family of predominantly women. I’m the youngest child and I have 4 older sisters who all had children young, therefore I’ve been babysitting, taking care of children and changing diapers since my very first niece was born when I was 9. I have 8 nieces and nephews total that I had the sole responsibility of babysitting while growing up and I wouldn’t have changed it for the world! I loved being able to watch them grow up into the beautiful people they are today.

Growing up in a house full of women also meant doing chores was like a sport for us! Constant cleaning, sanitizing, laundry, mopping, vacuuming, etc, is basically in my DNA. :)

I am an outdoor girl, I do not mind playing sports and throwing a ball around. I grew up an athlete so I enjoy being active.

On the flip side, I’m also very into arts and crafts. I enjoy painting and creating.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Kids are fascinating, really. I love to study human behavior and psychology, and being able to see the world through a child’s eyes is so pure and refreshing.

And, as always, kids are ALWAYS watching you. Studying you. Learning from you. So always set a good example even when you think no one’s looking. :)

My experience with special needs children...

My nephew is autistic and is in special needs care. He is the smartest, sweetest little boy ever who needs just a little extra care. I do not have any problem working with special needs. Every child deserves to be cared for the way they need to be. :)
