I'm a retired Army officer, 23 yrs. Then worked at a private school as an IT director/sub, grades PK -8 ). Public school PE/Health teacher, Tennis coach, grades 9-12 (6 years). Taught PK Sunday school, Big Brother/Big sister volunteer. Taught, supervised, and mentored kids pretty much my entire life. Recently relocated from Hawaii to Portage and looking for a PT position that is flexible, fun, and rewarding. I also love pets. Raised Husky's.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Read, arts and craft, board games, nature hikes, riding bikes, playing musical instruments, cooking/baking, sewing, practicing for recitals, practicing sports skills, mostly things kids enjoy doing as each child is different but also gently encourage kids to try new things.

Being entrusted with the safety of one's child. I take this very, very seriously. And, treating their child like they were my own and having their best interests at all times.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I haven't been an official nanny, but I have watched other kids in a parent daycare co-op group while living in VA. One of my favorite moments was helping the kids I sat for make a birthday cake for their mom and a welcome home banner for their dad when he returned from a deployment.
