I have been a babysitter and nanny before I have also worked as a Special Ed para for ages 4-8 and also for high schoolers.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy making crafts and doing little projects. I am also happy to help with school work. Being outside and being active either with sports or even just playing games is important because I think getting outside is really important if the weather allows otherwise I will try and find things that will engage all children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is making sure all of the parents and childrens needs are being met and that the children are still having a fun, engaging summer that they will still learn from so their parents/ guardians are able to get done what they need.
My experience with special needs children...
My cousin is special needs so I know minimal sign language and I have worked as a para for kids with all sorts of disabilities in a wide age range.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I nannied three little girls ages 6,9 and 11 and I taught them how to make mini cheesecakes because cheesecake is their dads favorite and Father’s Day was coming up and later on when I wasn’t their nanny anymore they brought me cheesecakes they made because they enjoyed them so much and were saying thank you. It really made my heart happy knowing they remembered how to do it even with some help from mom and dad.
