Hi Family!

My name is Samm, and I’m an adventurous, active, and out-going nanny. I value learning something new every day, finding creativity and inspiration in the day to day, and taking the time to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

My childcare experience is primarily with preschool through elementary age children, but I am open to all age groups. I enjoy creating daily learning lessons that correlate to an activity taking place that day, or to a skill or interest that your child is developing. I do have experience with the google classroom suite and assisting children with socially distanced online learning.

I know that in these extremely unpredictable times, parents and children are seeking some sense of normalcy. It is my greatest joy in life to help and teach others, and I would love to offer a helping hand to your family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Riding bikes, going to the playground, baking and cooking, yoga, jumping on the trampoline, fishing, skiing, hiking, nature walks (anything outside!), story time, arts and crafts, museums and discovery centers, legos, and so much more!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Finding what inspires a child and allows them to be creative and silly. Finding the balance between guided learning and the freedom to explore. Allowing a kid to be a kid and view the world through their perspective.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love when children continuously surprise me with their depth, like when one of my 3 year olds casually asks, “What does love mean?” as we’re on the way to preschool; or when one of my older boys finds an ant hill and he lays with his head in my lap just watching the ants be ants.
But oh man, do I enjoy the crazy weird moments! Dance parties before bed, baking disasters, play fights that turn into real fights, when the giggling actually gets to be too much, the weird questions that pop up at bedtime.
Every moment is a good moment.
