I personally think one of the most important parts about being a nanny is a child feeling safe with me. I protect the children. I watch like they are my own. I think it’s really important that they know that they’re smart. They’re strong. They’re beautiful and they can do anything. I love helping children learn new things. They are like little sponges. It’s so rewarding to see them learn new things absorbing it and watching them grow.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments is with the girl I used to nanny teaching her how to spell her name. About two months before she turned two years old, I taught her how to spell her name by singing it with her. And I taught her many songs like Rudolph the red nose, reindeer, Herman the worm, baby bumblebee, my bologna song.
