Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I regularly watch my 3 cousins, who are 6, 8, and 9 years old. I take them swimming and to get ice cream. We also color a lot and play with toys together.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going outside, like going to the park, playing on the playground. I also love coloring, reading, and painting with children. Another fun activity is when they want to play with their toys together and I can see them use their imagination and get to participate!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is how fulfilling it is to see children truly happy and enjoying themselves. I love seeing kids break out of their shell as well. The girl I used to tutor used to say maybe 3 words max to me the first week I nannied her. But by the end of the school year we were so close she could not stop talking! She also began to participate in class more and become more outgoing which was amazing to see.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is probably when I was tutoring my 8 year old and she had an online science test. She was feeling pretty nervous for it, but I told her we would study and she would be fine. So we studied and studied and then she got 100% on the test. It was so lovely to see her so excited about it! So after I told her we could get a fun treat to celebrate her awesome work!
