What matter most to me about being a nanny besides ensuring the kids safety, is being someone that the kid feels comfortable around, someone they can talk to about anything, and being a good role model. As a kid I always looked up to the adults around me, but especially the young adults which is why, as a young adult I'm the best influence I can be, since I understand that kids are always watching. Lastly, being a source of support is very important as well, because kids need all the support and love they can get and that's how they thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the little toddler I used to babysit (2yrs old), got big enough to want to help me cook dinner (5yrs). She would always excitedly ask to pour the cheese in when we would make mac n cheese and each time she would carefully drag her stool to the table and was proud of herself for her contribution. It consistently made my day.
