A little bit about me

I may not have paid experience in childcare, but I do have meaningful hands‑on experience. I took a Parenting and Child Development class where we cared for a RealCare Baby for a weekend. While it may not seem like much, it simulated caring for a real infant, including waking up in the middle of the night.
I also participated in a 7‑week play school in our classroom, working with 13 children ages 3–5. During that time, we created lesson plans, prepared snacks, and organized games and activities.
In addition, I completed an Intro to Early Childhood Education class, which included a 7‑week internship at Shelly Culver Head Start. I worked with 19 children ages 3–5 and two mentor teachers, where I observed, played with, and taught the kids.
I am not currently CPR or first aid certified, but I have been trained in CPR in school and I am willing to obtain official certification if needed.

I love spending time with children and creating a fun, positive environment for them. I’m happy to design engaging, age‑appropriate lessons based on whatever your child is currently working on, and I can bring my own materials as well as handle all the cleanup. The best part is that the kids never even have to realize it’s a lesson, they’ll just think we’re having fun.
I can also prepare healthy snacks that are kid‑friendly, visually appealing, and easy for children to enjoy without any fuss.

I believe the most important part of childcare is ensuring that the children are well cared for and that parents feel completely at ease when they leave their kids in my care.

My favorite moment was during our play school in the Parenting and Child Development class. There was a little boy who would light up every time he saw me. He would come straight to me and stay by my side the entire time I was there. It was the cutest thing, and it completely melted my heart.
