I was a lead teacher at ABC Happy Kids for a year, in charge of 12-15 month old children. I also have 3 younger siblings that I would always watch while we were growing up. I have two amazing daughters of my own as well!

Going on walks, bike rides, reading books, learning how to do new things together, teaching, painting, you name it!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Understanding that you will be a huge part of the child (or children's) lives, and you set a big example for them and they look up to you. It's such a special bond, it's so important for children to have someone who cares about them that they can look up to as a nanny.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger sister Mandy has autism and appraxia of speech. She has been in therapy and speech since she was young, so I have almost always been a part of the special needs world! I also know some sign language.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One time when I was working part time watching a boy after school, he had a big trampoline that he always wanted to play on. After about a week he had learned 4 gymnastics tricks and I've never seen a kid so happy in my life!
