I’ve worked in childcare for about two years now and have a year of schooling in childcare to obtain my infant/ toddler setting childcare developmental associate credential. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Working currently for the Malta ymca child care and early education center since January 3rd of 2022. I’m lead teacher currently in the infants room and have 8 infants under a year old currently in my care. I also have my CDA credential in infant toddler setting.
Also have experience babysitting as needed as well as full time babysitting over the summer of 2013 for two children of 5 and 10.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Art of all kinds, sensory bins and activities, emotion regulation techniques, social and emotional developmental activities, play dates, fine motor and gross motor skill building activities, water play, outdoor play, walks, science activities, cognitive skill development activities, exploring language, literature and literacy with children, reading books, engaging in open ended activities such as blocks or free play to aid in creative development, imaginative activities, self concept boosting activities, building on new emerging skills. And creating lesson plans to engage children and aid in their development. Working with parents as a team.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Open and honest communication with parents in regards to their child, working as a team with parents and using their wishes for their child and their personal values as my guide. Helping children develop important emotional, self regulation skills, working through tough situations and creating a positive self image and keeping the children in my care safe as my number one concern. But also to have fun and explore the world in a meaningful way with young children and to grow with their families.

My experience with special needs children...

None but do have schooling in creating adaptions for activities to include children with special needs, developing behavior plans and and am willing to learn more in this area of childcare.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It’s hard to pick my favorite moment working in child care, but I get the most out of playing with the infants and exploring creative sensory activities with them and watching their excitement as they experience new things, and seeing their smiles when they see me and reaching out to me on drop offs knowing that I am a special person in their lives and that I am an important part of their educational journey.
