My husband and I are both military and have access to affordable care on base but I am uncomfortable with a 4 to 1 ratio. I would much prefer 2/3 to 1 for that first year of development. I would not expect pet care or home care but I would like the option for transportation, primarily so you can go to the zoo or do some other fun activity. I am open to experience levels as long as you are infant/child CPR certified.
