Babysitter Job: The Chau-Khandwala Family with 1 Child
We are a loving family looking for a warm, dependable, and experienced nanny to care for our baby girl beginning around October 2026 when we return to work. Strong newborn/infant experience is important to us, and experience with preterm babies is a plus.
Both my husband and I work from home, so we will generally be present but working in our respective spaces. We are looking for someone comfortable taking the lead on her care while we work and providing attentive, loving, and engaging care throughout the day.
Responsibilities will be baby-focused and include bottle feeding and/or bringing her to me for nursing, diaper changes, following feeding and nap routines, safe sleep, tummy time, reading, age-appropriate developmental activities, washing/sanitizing bottles and feeding items, baby laundry, and keeping her nursery/play areas tidy. We would also appreciate communication about her feedings, naps, diapers, and activities.
Our ideal caregiver is nurturing, patient, reliable, attentive, and communicative. We prefer someone knowledgeable about infant development and safe-sleep practices who is infant CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become certified. Fluency in Mandarin is a plus, as we would love to incorporate early language exposure into our daughter’s daily routine. We also ask that our caregiver be a non-smoker, have strong references, and be comfortable around our two friendly cats.
Since our daughter arrived a few weeks early, we are especially cautious about illness and exposure. Open communication about illness or potential exposure and following our health and hygiene precautions are important to us.
We are considering part-time, full-time, or a recurring nanny arrangement, as well as occasional evening/weekend babysitting. We are flexible and hope to find someone trustworthy and caring who can become a consistent, positive presence in our daughter’s life.
