We are a family in Decatur looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging after-school nanny/family assistant for our sweet and spirited 4-year-old daughter!
Hours would be Monday–Friday, approximately 3–6:30 p.m. Responsibilities include school pickup, engaging in fun activities, preparing snacks, and assisting with light household tasks such as children’s laundry, tidying, and simple dinner/meal preparation.
Above all, we’re hoping to find someone who genuinely loves children, is patient, proactive, and will treat our daughter and home with kindness and respect. Some flexibility and availability during school breaks would be a plus!
We’re hoping to find someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of our family’s routine!

We are a warm, busy family in Decatur looking for a reliable, experienced nanny for our two daughters, ages 2½ and 4½. Our older daughter attends preschool Tuesday–Thursday from about 8:15–3:15, so much of those days would be primarily one-on-one care with our younger daughter.
We are looking for someone who can confidently and independently manage the girls’ day while I work from home. We value someone who takes initiative, plans age-appropriate activities, gets the girls outside, supports learning through play, handles meals/snacks and potty routines, and keeps their spaces tidy throughout the day.
Our girls are affectionate, social, curious, and active. We use limited screen time and prefer outdoor play, books, crafts, imaginative play, music, movement, and simple educational activities. We want someone who is warm and nurturing but also comfortable setting age-appropriate boundaries and handling normal toddler/preschool emotions calmly.
Schedule is approximately 35–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Typical hours are around:
Monday 8:30–5:00
Tuesday–Thursday 7:30–5:00
Friday 9:00–early afternoon, with some flexibility.
