We are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and proactive nanny to care for our toddler.
Schedule: 20 hours per week to start, with the opportunity to increase to up to 35 hours per week in 2027.
Location: Upper East Side, candidates should live within an easy and reliable commute.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, hands-on care for our toddler, creating a fun, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment through play, reading, creative activities, and learning opportunities.
No Screens or Phones: We maintain a strict no-screen-time policy for the children. Personal phone use while on duty should be limited to emergencies and essential communications with the parents.
Potty Training: Actively support and reinforce potty-training routines with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
Plan and accompany our toddler to age-appropriate classes, activities, parks, libraries, and other enriching experiences around the city.
Prepare, nutritious meals and snacks for the children and assist with family meal prep as needed.
Handle children's laundry, keep the playroom and children's bathroom clean and organized
Assist with grocery shopping and other household errands as needed.
Flexibility: Work collaboratively with the family to accommodate occasional evening and weekend needs.
Ideal Candidate
Has a background or demonstrated experience in child development, early childhood education, infant care, or a related field.
Is knowledgeable about toddler milestones, potty training, infant care, and age-appropriate activities.
Enjoys planning educational outings and creating stimulating, screen-free activities that encourage learning, creativity, movement, and exploration.
Values hands-on engagement and remains fully present with the children.
Is willing to assist with light household tasks and family-related errands.

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Reichert Family with 1 Child
Hello--we are looking for a nanny for our four year old daughter, Paige. She is in half-day school this year, approximately four blocks from our apartment, from 12:15-3pm, and pick-up/drop-off would be needed. On top of this, she has a few afterschool activities. We would probably want coverage from around 10am-5pm on weekdays. The house has dogs, but pet care would not be expected.

My husband is returning to the office in 2 weeks and I’d like someone on the weekdays, ideally from 12 to 5 pm (but flexible!) who can care for my baby while I run errands and pick up my older son from daycare at 3 / watch one or both of them for a bit after he gets home (potential to do pick up of my toddler but also flexible!). I basically just want someone who can give me the leeway to take care of myself and house, pee occasionally alone and keep my baby son engaged/happy/safe. We do have two cats but they are pet rocks and will likely just want to enjoy me while I’m not holding either child :)
