Full-Time Nanny Job: The Kanakadandi Family with 2 Children
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused after-school nanny to assist our family starting at 3:00 PM each weekday. The primary responsibility is picking up our children from Barstow school, bringing them to our home in Overland Park, and driving them to local after-school activities approximately twice per week.
Responsibilities:
• Pick up children promptly at 3:00 PM from school.
• Provide safe transportation to local practices, lessons, and activities (roughly two afternoons per week). We will pay additional mileage.
• Help with light meal prep, kids laundry and cleaning.
• Keep children engaged and safe until parents finish work.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must be comfortable providing a copy for an MVR check).
• Reliable, insured personal vehicle suitable for transporting children (car seats provided if needed).
• Non-smoker.
• Prior childcare experience with verifiable references.

My husband and I are looking for a full-time nanny for our daughter starting Feb 1st of 2027 (she will be 1 year old by the start date). Primary responsibility will be proving a safe, attentive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for our daughter, but we will also require some light housework (child-related cleaning, laundry, etc.)

4. Current Pediatric CPR Certification
5. Current Pediatric First Aid Certification
6. Minimum of 3 years professional childcare experience (paid and structured; family-member childcare does not count towards this minimum)
7. Minimum 1-year professional experience caring for a child under the age of 2
8. Minimum 2 references
9. Comfortable with dogs (we have a golden retriever)

They are both really great kids and pretty independent.
Hours would be M-W approx. 8 AM to approx. 4:30 PM.
We have a neighborhood pool that they like. They enjoy going to the park and also going to Target to buy things with their allowance money.
We do have a boxer dog who is really sweet.
Aside from going to the pool down the street or a park, there would only be a few weeks where the kids would have a camp that is close by our house.
