A little bit about us

I work from home, but have a very sweet but needy 8 month old. He makes it difficult to work. I would just need someone a few days a week for a few hours. It would amazing to occasionally have a Friday or Saturday babysitter, but not crucial.

Also, given the political climate, I do feel it's extremely necessary to clarify up front that I am an outspoken leftist progressive, who is in a biracial marriage and has biracial children, so definitely not interested in anyone who has any racial bigotry or biases.

Babysitter Job: The Zimmerman Family with 3 Children

We need some help to get our busy kids all the places they need to go:
*Monday afternoons: pick up children from school take them home and then to sports practice. (SW/NWPDX)
*Most Wednesdays: pick up children from school and take to sports practice. (SW/NW PDX)
*Thursday: care for child after school in our home (may also occasionally involve a pickup). (SW/NW PDX)
These ~3 hour shifts will also include driving, snack making, occasional dinner prep or light errands in neighborhood, game playing, reading, etc. We have one kid who loves to swim and would love your help getting him to the pool!
One thing to know is our kids do not attend school close to home. To pick them up and bring them home you will be required to navigate the freeway and side roads at high traffic times; the commute back and forth can occasionally take close to an hour. Cool demeanor and driving expertise is a must; we do have a mini van you could use!
*Occasional additional nights and weekends as needed.
*Kids are smart and high energy. Experience and interest in dealing with neurodiversity, will make the job easier for all of us.
