Babysitter Job: The Murphy Family with 1 Child
Part-Time Nanny Needed for 16-month-old in Avondale (Flexible Schedule)
About us:
- We are a family of 3 plus a small dog located in Avondale
- We have grandparents nearby, giving us lots of flexibility for scheduling through the end of the year. Our primary goal right now is building a long-term relationship with a great nanny
- Mom is transitioning careers next year, at which point we will be looking to increase hours but will also require a high degree of flexibility due to her schedule
The schedule:
- Currently seeking 1-2 days a week (~6 hr shifts) + occasional extras (availability for periodic date nights or weekend outings.
- Early 2027: Looking to shift to 3-4 days a week of daytime hours
About our daughter:
- 16 months old and fully embracing the toddler phase!
- Highly active; she loves being outside, animals, reading, coloring, and swimming
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Plan activities, read together, take her to nearby parks/library
- Food prep: prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for a toddler
- Occasional transportation to/from Grandma's house in Orange Park
- Pet friendly: comfortable having a small dog around the house
- Long term fit: able to grow with our family over time
Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Non-smoker
- Reliable personal transportation
- Background in childcare with references
- Able to pass a background check
Prefer:
- 5+ years of childcare experience with ages 0-5
- Toddler development experience: prior experience navigating the 1–2-year age range (milestones, emotional regulation, potty training)
- Water friendly: We’d love someone who is comfortable in the water and able to bring our daughter in and around our pool
- Comfortable preparing clean, minimally processed meals/snacks
- Energetic & Outdoorsy: someone who genuinely enjoys being active and outside
- Background in early childhood education
Would love:
- Someone who speaks a second language fluently and can introduce it to our daughter

My sons name is Callan. He is three years old and loves Paw Patrol and Harry Potter. He is very energetic and loves to play with Adults. He struggles with listening, kicking and hitting. We are working very hard to get him prepared to go into school and need some help. He is in Occupational Therapy once a week but needs a little more dedicated help. Hello, my name is Angela and I have a two year-old son named Joey. He’s absolutely adorable. A sweet, sweet boy very smart but he is too so he needs to learn how to potty and he’s an outdoor kid. We’re looking for someone long-term and some overnights when there’s an occasion we’re looking for someone for evenings and weekends. If you need a weekend off to go be with your spouse that’s OK. We will ask you to take our son in the pool play outside and the sprinklers take them to the amenity center where they have a splash park and waterslide and stuff and stay home sometimes too. It’s evenings from 6 to 11 during the week and then definitely definitely Saturdays and Sundays some Sunday Sundays you can have off if you have to go to church but not every Sunday I’m willing to work with you but I’m looking for someone serious.

I am a single Mother of two beautiful children, a girl and a boy. I will need help to keep my little ones entertained ( mainly the 6 year old girl.) I currently work at home and I am a seasonal claims adjuster. So I will have 2 full time jobs. My job will require my full undivided attention if a hurricane 🌀 or tornado 🌪️ happens to touch down. Hopefully there is no traveling, but if there is it may require training for 1 to 2 days. I Preferably need someone to live in while I'm away if that is required during that time. but depends on the assignment. My 6 year old needs a play mate and she is a social butterfly that will keep you busy. She loves to play dress up, Barbies and have occasional spa time! My son is dependent and likes to play video games and go outside to play basketball with his friend's so as long as he is fed he doesn't need much.
Currently my children are in summer camp. I am looking for someone to start on or after 7/31 until school starts back. Then when school starts I could use help with picking them up from aftercare, helping with homework, meal prep, light house keeping, then ready for bed.
