Babysitter Job: The Murphy Family with 1 Child
Part-Time Nanny Needed for 16-month-old in Avondale (Flexible Schedule)
About us:
- We are a family of 3 plus a small dog located in Avondale
- We have grandparents nearby, giving us lots of flexibility for scheduling through the end of the year. Our primary goal right now is building a long-term relationship with a great nanny
- Mom is transitioning careers next year, at which point we will be looking to increase hours but will also require a high degree of flexibility due to her schedule
The schedule:
- Currently seeking 1-2 days a week (~6 hr shifts) + occasional extras (availability for periodic date nights or weekend outings.
- Early 2027: Looking to shift to 3-4 days a week of daytime hours
About our daughter:
- 16 months old and fully embracing the toddler phase!
- Highly active; she loves being outside, animals, reading, coloring, and swimming
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Plan activities, read together, take her to nearby parks/library
- Food prep: prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for a toddler
- Occasional transportation to/from Grandma's house in Orange Park
- Pet friendly: comfortable having a small dog around the house
- Long term fit: able to grow with our family over time
Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Non-smoker
- Reliable personal transportation
- Background in childcare with references
- Able to pass a background check
Prefer:
- 5+ years of childcare experience with ages 0-5
- Toddler development experience: prior experience navigating the 1–2-year age range (milestones, emotional regulation, potty training)
- Water friendly: We’d love someone who is comfortable in the water and able to bring our daughter in and around our pool
- Comfortable preparing clean, minimally processed meals/snacks
- Energetic & Outdoorsy: someone who genuinely enjoys being active and outside
- Background in early childhood education
Would love:
- Someone who speaks a second language fluently and can introduce it to our daughter

My sons name is Callan. He is three years old and loves Paw Patrol and Harry Potter. He is very energetic and loves to play with Adults. He struggles with listening, kicking and hitting. We are working very hard to get him prepared to go into school and need some help. He is in Occupational Therapy once a week but needs a little more dedicated help. Looking for some assistance Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8am - 5pm.

Hello, my name is Angela and I have a two year-old son named Joey. He’s absolutely adorable. A sweet, sweet boy very smart but he is too so he needs to learn how to potty and he’s an outdoor kid. We’re looking for someone long-term and some overnights when there’s an occasion we’re looking for someone for evenings and weekends. If you need a weekend off to go be with your spouse that’s OK. We will ask you to take our son in the pool play outside and the sprinklers take them to the amenity center where they have a splash park and waterslide and stuff and stay home sometimes too. Sometimes you’ll be with us. Sometimes you won’t be because they’ll be working on the yard. It’s evenings from 6 to 11 during the week and then definitely definitely Saturdays and Sundays some Sunday Sundays you can have off if you have to go to church but not every Sunday I’m willing to work with you but I’m looking for someone serious.

I have a 12-year-old who has autism and is very loving. She is severely autistic and is non verbal, still wears a pull up. She can do a lot of things with assistance. Then I have a 1-year-old going on six who loves to try new things and do things as independently as possible. Both very sweet girls. Just looking for help every other Friday and Saturday so Im able to work my night job. Fridays I usually go in at 5 p.m. and I leave at 1130 the latest. Saturdays I go in at 2 p.m. and I get off at 10/1030 the latest. My oldest takes pills to sleep through the night and the baby goes to bed at 9 p.m. with no problem.
