Babysitter Job: The Frautten Family with 5 Children
We’re looking for a warm, reliable babysitter to help with our family in Rye! We have five children, but during the school day the primary care would be for our 6 month and 4 year old boys.
Our 4 year old attends preschool from 11:30 to 2:15, so the position would include preschool drop off and pickup, with primarily one on one care for the baby while he’s at school. I work from home, but am looking for someone who can take the lead with the kids during the day - playing, getting outside, occasional outings, meals/snacks, and keeping kid related areas picked up.
Our schedule is pretty flexible. At minimum, we’re looking for weekday coverage around 11am–3pm, although 10/11am–4pm would be ideal. There will also be frequent opportunities for additional hours outside of the regular schedule.
Available hours will increase significantly for a period in late November/early December, when we’ll need some additional help with the baby and around the house while I recover from surgery. There is also an opportunity for the position to continue into the summer, when the position would become closer to full time and involve caring for more of our children and helping with transportation to camps and activities. Continuing into the summer would be great, but is not a requirement.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, we’d love to hear about your experience, availability, and what you’re looking for!

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Job: The Vine Family with 4 Children
I'm a single father and am looking for nanny coverage due to medical necessity.
I'm ideally looking for a nanny who can stay at my house Friday night through Saturday day, wake up when the kids wake up (usually around 7-8am) and care for them until mid-afternoon.
Note: I really need consistency, so I'd expect you *every* Fri-Sat unless we discuss time off well in advance or you are very ill.
You would be caring for four wonderful kids, ages 2.5 to 11, who love to play and learn! Ideal candidate would help them play quietly inside or actively outside while I sleep, would prepare healthy food, and do light household chores when there's downtime. Patience, kindness, and high energy are important qualities to bring. If you are organized and resourceful to boot, this could expand into a Personal Assistant role on additional days of the week.
I know this is unusual, but it could be a great side income for the right person. I'm looking for someone who would become part of our household long-term and help me and the kids stay healthy and happy. If you're curious about the role but have questions, feel free to send me a message!
