We are a family in Decatur looking for a warm, dependable, and engaging after-school nanny/family assistant for our sweet and spirited 4-year-old daughter!
Hours would be Monday–Friday, approximately 3–6:30 p.m. Responsibilities include school pickup, engaging in fun activities, preparing snacks, and assisting with light household tasks such as children’s laundry, tidying, and simple dinner/meal preparation.
Above all, we’re hoping to find someone who genuinely loves children, is patient, proactive, and will treat our daughter and home with kindness and respect. Some flexibility and availability during school breaks would be a plus!
We’re hoping to find someone who will become a trusted, long-term part of our family’s routine!

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Adekoya Family with 1 Child
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced nanny to care for our infant starting in September 2025. This position primarily covers weekday childcare during standard work hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with occasional additional hours on evenings or weekends as needed. Any extended hours will always be communicated in advance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, nurturing care for one infant- 10-month-old
Engage the baby in age-appropriate, stimulating activities
Feed simple baby meals (sometimes help with preparation of simple meals like cereal or reheating prepared meals to feed baby)
Change diapers and support sleep/feeding routines
Maintain a clean and organized play and feeding area
Handle light housekeeping and laundry related to the child
Ideal Candidate:

Prior experience with infants preferred
Able to create a safe, enriching environment for early development
Open to feedback and communication
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to become certified)
Background checks and references will be required.

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Shaw Family with 4 Children
Looking for someone two full days a week plus maybe an extra half or full day. Mostly just playing and engaging with Sara (2y/o). Need a school pick-up for the other three kiddos: Saeed (9), Hanna (6), and Zain (4), at 2:20 every afternoon. We live .4 from the school and mostly walk home unless raining/storming. Making/warming dinner up around 4:30/5. Current hours would be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday from 8-5. Hours/days subject to change depending on work hours.
