Part-Time Nanny Job: The T Family with 1 Child
We’re a family in Long Grove looking for a warm, dependable, and fun part-time nanny and household assistant for our two-year-old daughter. We’d love someone who genuinely enjoys getting silly, playing, reading, creating activities, and spending time outdoors with a young child. Safety, calm guidance, and kind, consistent boundaries are important to us.
The role also includes family laundry, resetting play and family spaces, cleaning up the kitchen and dining area after dinner, and occasional local errands. We’re looking for someone who enjoys both childcare and hands-on household help and works well with involved parents and other household staff.
**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, either 2:00–8:00 p.m. or 3:00–8:00 p.m. (25–30 hours per week)
**Pay:** $30-35/hour
**Location:** Long Grove, IL
Strong toddler experience, fluent English, reliable transportation, good references, and comfort around a small dog are important. We maintain a fragrance-free home. We travel regularly and would welcome someone interested in joining us on some trips, but **travel is not required**.

Our family is moving to Long Grove and we have three child care needs (bi-weekly care until school ends, summer schedule, bi-weekly schedule in 2021 school year). Smoke free home with 2 dogs who love people. Large yard & walking distance to a bike path and forest preserve.
Our immediate need, which is for bi-weekly help until school ends, is detailed below. Our son's school is Edgebrook Elementary until this year ends (he will start in Long Grove next year), so need help picking him up on Monday/Tuesday. The remainder of the week he is virtual & we do need someone to drop him at baseball practice up to two times a week starting in April with good weather. Expect we can take him some evenings - but we do want to plan for the support.

Thursday 3 - 6 p.m.
After-school; play (inside or out, periodic to play tennis, etc.)

On Thursdays, in April and weather permitting – drop off at baseball in Morton Grove at 6 p.m.
Friday: 3 - 5:00 p.m.
Checking homework, reviewing assignments, and play time
If the partnership works out - we'd look at the summer and 2021 school schedule to extend the care schedule.
We live in a COVID safe home; following all IL safety guidelines. Both parents are working from home.
