A little bit about us

We are looking for a live in nanny for our family in beautiful Saint Regis, MT. Both parents work as executives and have a busy work schedule, so having a full time support network in the home would be ideal. Nanny would primarily care for our 2 and 4 year old boys, while assisting with our 8 and 11 year olds. We also have a 16 and 17 year old who come and go for sports and school, but can transport themselves. The ideal nanny should be able to assist with keeping the home tidy, playing a supporting development of the youngest children, and meal preparation. The ideal candidate would have their own dedicated bedroom and living space, bathroom, and a shared kitchen and common spaces. This home sits on a 140 acre horse ranch in Montana, along the beautiful Clark Fork river. The nanny chosen will be welcomed to join the family on paid vacations to Europe and elsewhere through the year, ski trips, boating in the summer, and river floats. The nanny chosen may be a student, but may not work another job while serving as nanny, nor participate in any activities that may limit their availability throughout the week, due to varying needs work wise for the parents. Ideally, a young energetic positive individual is preferred. Fluant in another language and willing to teach our children that language is a huge bonus. Starting wages are $600 a week plus free groceries, utilities, and room and board. Expenses for travel may be covered as well, if for nanny services with the family. Gas and expenses for enrichment activities for children also covered. Applicant must have a clean background check and relevant experience. Education and dual language proficiency preferred.

A little bit about us

Hi! My husband and I are in need of a consistent nanny to nurture and play with our 3.5-year-old daughter. She is a playful, caring, thoughtful, lovely, creative, potty-trained girl.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:
-We hope to find someone who can be part of our family for many years and would be happy to include you in many parts of our lives.
-Guaranteed hours: We treat the hours that we have budgeted as an obligation. 20 hrs/MONTH during the school year and 20 hrs/WEEK during summer.
-Somewhat flexible schedule: While we NEED care when preschool is out so that we can work, we are flexible on the other days. On months when school is fully in session, we would sit down with you and decide on a mutually beneficial schedule.
-Planned out schedule: We know months in advance when school breaks are and can set the majority of the schedule far in advance
-We pay the employer portion of nanny tax
-$18-21/hr
-PTO: 1hr PTO for every 20 hours worked

WHAT WE NEED:
-Dependability
-Gentle, responsive care. Patience. Warmth.
-Love of (or at least willingness to play) outdoors
-Own transportation
-Spanish language would be a huge
-Light cooking, cleaning, errands
-Walking two well behaved dogs
-We do not desire any academics at her age. I’d rather focus on learning through play, being a kid, and maybe helping do one chore in a fun way to increase her confidence.
-We have a full roster of caring and kind sitters who save the day. Now we are looking for one consistent carer who is available for most of our schedule, which is:
---School year:
-----occasional help with pick up at preschool (hours 4pm-6pm)
-----9am to 4pm when school is out for teacher development days or school holidays
-----date days or nights (we are not night owls and anticipate little night care)
---Summer break:
------Care Monday-Thursday
------Hours typically between 9am and 4pm
------Shuttling to summer camps and activities (mileage paid)

How to Find Bilingual Nanny Jobs in Montana

Nanny Lane connects you with families in Montana who are looking for a bilingual nanny. Create a profile that lists the languages you speak and start connecting with families that need them.

You create your profile and connect with families that meet your needs. Then, as you meet with families, you can discuss and finalize details around cost and responsibilities. Learn more about nanny responsibilities.

What Are Bilingual Nanny Jobs?

Bilingual nanny jobs are positions where speaking a second language is a valued part of the role. Families may want their children to learn a language, keep up a language spoken at home, or communicate with a grandparent or relative. Your language skills can set you apart from other candidates and may support a higher rate.

Types of Bilingual Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Some families want you to speak only the second language with the children, and others want a mix throughout the day. Responsibilities can include childcare, meals, activities, and reading and playing in the second language. Jobs can be full-time, part-time, or live-in, so check the schedule and expectations in each posting.

How to Interview for Bilingual Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • Which language do you want me to use, and how often?
  • How fluent do you expect me to be?
  • Do the children already speak the language?
  • Are there other adults in the home who speak it?
  • Is language teaching part of the role, or just everyday conversation?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
